Several States Transitioning to FedEx ISP
On 8/27/2014 it was brought to our attention that FedEx has announced California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada and Yuma, AZ will be transitioning from FedEx IC (Independent Contractor) to FedEx ISP contracts.
As a result of this change, contractors will now be required to have a minimum of 5 PSAs or 500 stops. A notable difference between IC and ISP contracts include the ability to enter into multi-year contracts (an often attractive selling point for new buyers). In addition, the ISP contracts allow FedEx contractors to negotiate their rates with FedEx during the renewal period. Additional information to follow as we learn more about the changes to come.
